LETTER FROM THE HIGH SHERIFF OF NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

As many of you know, like most, we had to stop our program of activities in March as per the government guidelines due to the Corona-virus pandemic. Our charity remit is “to promote positive use of recreational activities to improve self-esteem, well-being and confidence in those that are socially isolated”, and we still wanted to help our community of Northamptonshire -but how??

People were finding it hard to get their essential shopping items; feelings were low with missing loved ones. A plan was born to send out ‘Wellness Packs’ to promote well-being feelings in both the people who were nominating others, and those who were being nominated. Some packs carry essential food, store cupboard items and toiletries, some are for kids and families, some have sensory toys in, some are for new parents/ parent-to-be, and the community of Northamptonshire have been nominating in their hundreds - nominating friends, family, neighbours and key workers.

Our continuing hard-work has been recognised by the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire and we received a letter of gratitude!
