We have been nominated for New Group of the Year

We’re thrilled to have been nominated for New Group of the Year at the NAYC Annual Awards, which is the culmination of an amazing first six months.

The NAYC, which helps and educates young people through leisure time as well as supporting youth groups around Northamptonshire and beyond, will host their awards ceremony on Monday 3 February.

Since forming in July 2019, Peak Empower has arranged fun and collaborative activities for more than 60 young people, including team building activities, virtual F1 racing, crafting events and a range of empowering sporting activities, as well as social events including bowling evenings.

We have an exciting 2020 planned with programmes including:

  • Adventure Club

  • Inclusive Climbing

  • WipeOut surfing sessions

  • Ray of Hope summer programme

  • Personal Best – a sports programme for home-schooled children

  • Freestyle – Autism swim courses

  • Training Wheels – disabled learn to cycle course

Please keep an eye on our website, Facebook page and Twitter @peakempower for more details.

Sapphire Tuckfield, chief executive, said: “We are so proud to have received this nomination from a prestigious organisation like the NAYC, who understand the work and dedication that goes into creating fun and educational activities for young people.

“Everyone at Peak Empower has had so much fun over the last six months and while seeing the increased confidence and self-esteem of our young members is all we need, receiving recognition like this still a great honour.

“I want to say thank you to all of our volunteers, coaches, session supervisors, partners and grant funders, without whom it would be impossible to run activities as varied and frequent as we do. This is a real team effort.”
